Held in the quaint, poetic township of Bellengin, the Bellingen Readers & Writers Festival is an annual event to pencil into the calendar if you’re a lover of the written word. Featuring a schmorgasbord of local and international writers, local literati will be spoilt for choice when it comes to celebrating authors of all genres.

If you are a bit of a Chilli fiend, then this festival will certainly warm the taste buds! On the first Saturday in July, picturesque First Avenue is transformed into a carnival of all things hot and spicy. Attracting over 13,000 people on the day, the Chilli Festival features over 70 chilli related stalls.
