Kalaru Holiday Park is located five kilometres from Tathra Beach and less than 20 minutes to Bega and Merimbula - making it the most central park to all the attractions of the Sapphire Coast.

The Sapphire Coast is home to Australia's wilderness coast, halfway between Melbourne and Sydney and just 3 hours from Canberra. Immerse yourself in nature and explore our wild coastline, dotted with secluded beaches, pristine estuaries, native forests and ancient landscapes.

Whether you’re pitching a tent, parking your caravan, or settling into a cosy cabin with all the modern comforts, we’ve got just the spot for you. Choose from spacious grassy sites or a variety of comfortable self-contained cabins. Best of all, we’re proudly pet-friendly, offering two dedicated dog-friendly cabins and welcoming furry friends on all our sites.

Whale Watching

Steeped in whaling history and unspoilt coastal wilderness, whale watching opportunities on the Sapphire Coast are abundant. You’ll find plenty of lookouts for whale sightings and passionate charter operators.

Bega

Bega is the country heart of the Sapphire Coast, surrounded by rolling green hills and rich pastures. The town is dotted with galleries, cafes and quirky shops, as well as the famous Bega Cheese Factory.

Mimosa Rocks National Park

Discover show-stopping headland views, beaches and pure lagoons. You'll be spoilt for choice with lookouts, rainforest pockets and historic sites to explore. There's opportunities for fishing, surfing and snorkelling.

Unfortunately our facilities do not cater for those with accessibility needs, however, we are in the process of making our park more accessible to all of our patrons.

Yes, our guests are able to access free wifi throughout the park.

Monday – Friday: 9 am to 5 pm

Saturday: 12 pm to 4 pm

Sunday: 9 am to 1 pm

No problems! We understand that sometimes things don’t always go to plan. If you’ll be arriving after-hours, please contact our reception beforehand so that they can make arrangements for you.

You can view a copy of our guest information and park rules here. If you would like a hard copy of these, please ask our friendly staff at reception.

Please contact the park prior to arrival to discuss bringing your dog on holiday with you. Dogs must be always kept on a lead  and not left unattended. All waste must be collected and disposed of appropriately in garbage bins. Pets are not permitted in any communal areas or recreational facilities. Any signs of unapproved pets found staying in cabins, will incur a cleaning  fee of $175.00. Please note; we allow dogs only. No cats.
