Looking for the perfect mix of wild coastline and calm water? Just ten minutes south of BIG4 Wallaga Lake Holiday Park, the Blue Pool in Bermagui is one of the most unforgettable natural swimming spots on the Sapphire Coast.

Carved into the rocky cliffside, this ocean rock pool in NSW is famous for its deep turquoise water, dramatic coastal setting and free public access. Whether you’re in for a morning swim, a quiet sit with ocean views or a cool-off after exploring Bermagui, this spot ticks every box.

The main pool is deep and refreshing, ideal for confident swimmers, while a smaller adjacent pool offers a gentle wade for little ones or those who prefer calmer waters. Above, a lookout point offers panoramic views of the coast, a favourite with photographers and nature lovers.

Why visit the Blue Pool

This is not just another swimming hole. The Blue Pool Bermagui is a rare chance to swim in crystal-clear saltwater with the waves crashing nearby and seabirds flying overhead. It’s one of the most scenic, accessible and memorable things to do in Bermagui, and it’s free.

How to get there from Wallaga Lake

From BIG4 Wallaga Lake Holiday Park, drive south on Wallaga Lake Road to Bermagui (around 10 minutes). Follow the signs to Scenic Drive. You’ll find the Blue Pool car park at the end of the road, with stairs leading down to the pool area.

Go explore the coastal cool. The Blue Pool is waiting.
