After busy day exploring the many local attractions cool down with a refreshing dip in our pool.

Doggie Daycare

Many of the local attractions are not pet friendly, so we have 3 private and secure yards to keep your beloved pooch safe while you explore.

An ideal place to meet new friends. You can also enjoy a barista made coffee before you start the day.

Artisan Bore Baths

The Artesian Bore Baths are situated only 200 metres from the park. The water found in the Bore Baths at Lightning Ridge is around 39 degrees and comes from the Great Artesian Basin and is approximately two million years old!

Chambers of the Black Hand

A unique gallery within an old opal mine of over 350 sandstone carvings as well as murals painted on the sandstone walls. After touring the carvings learn about the geology and history of the opal. An absolute must visit when in the area.

Car Door Tours

These four self-drive tours (Green, Blue, Yellow & Red) are designed to see the major attractions around the area. Each tour is approximately 20min in driving time, however, you can spend a few hours on each exploring the attractions. Choose one or do all four!

When staying at Opal Caravan Park with your dog, all owners agree to abide by our park rules and to take full responsibility for any personal injury or damage caused by your dog whilst within our park. You also agree to pay for any claims of compensation in relation to your dog’s activities.
Evidence of pets will give rise to a cleaning fee of $200 charged against your credit card or payable in cash at our option.
Here are some simple Must DO’s
· Please keep your dog on a short lead at all times whilst in the Park grounds.
· Pick up all dog droppings in a plastic bag which is to be tied and disposed of in rubbish bins provided.
· Not allow your dogs to go onto any gardens or dig holes at any time
· Leave your site clean and free of dog’s bones and other food scraps
and some Must NOT DO’s –
· Please do not leave your dog/s unattended in the park or in a vehicle
· Allow your dog into the pool enclosure, laundry, amenities, camp kitchen, BBQ or cabin areas
· Wash or dry pet towels, blankets etc in the park washing machines and dryers
· Allow visitors dogs to enter the park at any time.

Low Season: 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday,
9am-4pm Saturday and Sunday
High Season: 8am – 6pm (7 days)

No problems! We understand that sometimes things don’t always go to plan. If you’ll be arriving after-hours, please contact reception beforehand so that they can make arrangements for you.
